Many special coloring effects can be achieved with concrete overlay material.

When installing a self-leveling type material color can be blended into the material itself creating a good base for additional coloring.  After the materials is floated and smoothed, we let the material set up for about an hour and then re-trowel or burnish the overlay to produce a smooth, polished finish.  During the finishing process colored pigments can be added to the material and trowled into the surface producing a multi-colored, marble type finish.

After the overlay is dry, coloring materials such as acid stains, water-based acrylic colors, and solvent based dyes can be used to create marble or granite like finishes.  Many different faux techniques can be used to create truly one of a kind floors.
