Scored concrete refers to cutting a pattern in the existing acid stained concrete floor or concrete overlay with a skill saw and diamond blade. The cut is generally only 1/16 to an 1/8 of an inch deep and is placed prior to staining or coloring. The pattern is laid out with chalk and a chalk line in any number of desired shapes or patterns.
There are many different cutting tools on the market today that allow patterns to be cut in circles or extravagant designs.
After the color is applied and the floor is sealed the scored pattern can be grouted like tile to make the floor easier to clean.
A scored pattern on your Plano, Frisco, or Dallas home will enhance any concrete flooring job! |
